We fly from Reykjavik in the Iceland Coast Guard helicopter, TF-LIF, and arrive on Surtsey in the afternoon.

Two helicopters
Posted on by surtsey50years The Coast Guard helicopter, TF-LIF, continues to bring loads of heavy equipment to the island from the ICGV Þór, waiting offshore. A commercial helicopter does the precision lifting to assemble the components of CS1000 drill rig.

Shower
